Effective Date: April 20, 2025
At Begja, we prioritize security, transparency, and direct engagement between buyers and sellers. All transactions on our platform are processed using PayPal, a trusted and globally recognized payment gateway. This policy outlines how payments work, your responsibilities, and what to expect as a buyer or seller.
1. Accepted Payment Method
Begja supports PayPal as the exclusive payment method for all purchases. PayPal offers secure processing using:
-
PayPal balance
-
Debit or credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, etc.)
-
Linked bank accounts (where supported)
You do not need a PayPal account to complete a transaction; guests may pay using a card via PayPal’s secure checkout.
2. Direct Buyer-to-Seller Payment
All payments on Begja are processed directly from the buyer to the seller via PayPal. This means:
-
Begja does not receive, hold, or control any funds
-
Each seller is responsible for handling their own payments, receipts, refunds, and financial records
-
Orders are considered confirmed once payment is successfully processed by PayPal
3. Transaction Confirmation
Once a payment is completed:
-
The buyer receives an email confirmation from PayPal
-
The seller receives a payment notification in their PayPal account
-
Order status is updated in the Begja dashboard
Buyers and sellers are encouraged to keep a record of the PayPal transaction ID for future reference.
4. Pricing & Currency
All product prices on Begja are displayed in USD ($). Buyers are responsible for:
-
Reviewing the total cost before placing an order (including shipping fees)
-
Any additional currency conversion fees charged by PayPal or their financial institution (if applicable)
5. Payment Issues & Declines
If your payment is declined or fails:
-
Double-check your card or PayPal account balance
-
Ensure accurate billing information is provided
-
Try an alternate funding source via PayPal
If the issue persists, please contact PayPal support directly.
6. Disputes & Chargebacks
Since all payments are processed through PayPal, any disputes or chargebacks must be handled via:
-
PayPal’s Resolution Center, where buyers may open a dispute within 180 days of the transaction
-
Sellers are expected to respond to disputes in accordance with PayPal’s guidelines
-
Begja does not mediate or intervene in PayPal dispute outcomes
7. Seller Responsibilities
Sellers must:
-
Maintain a valid and active PayPal account
-
Ensure prices listed are accurate and transparent
-
Ship orders only after payment has been confirmed
-
Issue refunds via PayPal if necessary
-
Comply with PayPal’s Seller Protection Policy
8. Security & Fraud Prevention
PayPal uses industry-standard encryption and fraud prevention tools. Additionally:
-
Begja monitors suspicious activity and may suspend accounts under investigation
-
Buyers and sellers are advised to communicate only via official platform tools
-
Never share sensitive payment information outside of PayPal’s secure system
9. Begja’s Role
Begja serves solely as a marketplace platform and is not a party to any payment agreement. We:
-
Do not collect or disburse funds
-
Do not provide escrow or mediation services
-
Do not charge buyers any payment processing fees (PayPal may charge their standard rates)
Any issues related to payments should be directed to PayPal support or resolved between the buyer and seller.
